India e-Arrival Card for Children and Families
Travelling to India with children? Prepare arrival information for each child travelling on a foreign passport, including babies and children with OCI cards.
A parent or guardian can complete our assistance form for their child. Our service takes one traveller per application, with a fee of £15 GBP per traveller.
Do children and babies need an India e-Arrival Card?
The requirement applies to foreign nationals arriving in India. The official guidance checked for this page does not list a general exemption for children or infants, so include your child’s arrival information using their own travel passport.
Use the child’s full name, nationality and passport number. A parent’s passport details should not be entered in place of the child’s.
The UK government’s India entry guidance explains the arrival-card requirement and its permitted submission window.
How much does it cost for a family?
Our fee is £15 GBP for each traveller using this service, including children and infants.
| Travellers using this service | Total fee |
|---|---|
| 1 traveller | £15 GBP |
| 2 travellers | £30 GBP |
| 3 travellers | £45 GBP |
| 4 travellers | £60 GBP |
| 5 travellers | £75 GBP |
We check the information supplied, contact you if clarification is needed, assist with submission within the permitted window and email confirmation once completed.
What information should I prepare for each child?
Have the child’s current travel passport and the family’s itinerary available. Check:
- Full name, nationality and passport number.
- Scheduled arrival date in India.
- Purpose of visit and countries visited in the last six days.
- Accommodation address in India, including state and district.
- A contact email and telephone number you can access while travelling.
When using this service, a parent or guardian can provide their own contact details for the child’s application. The child does not need a separate email address for our service.
Family members staying together can use the same accommodation address. Check recent travel separately for each person, particularly if relatives are joining the trip from different countries.
What if my child has an OCI or eOCI card?
OCI and eOCI cardholders are included in the arrival-information requirement. The official OCI services website confirms that OCI cardholders can submit an e-Arrival Card within 72 hours before arrival.
Enter the child’s current foreign passport number in the passport field. An OCI card number is a different identifier.
Check each traveller individually. A parent’s citizenship or OCI status does not determine the passport details to enter for their child.
When should a family submit its arrival information?
Government submission takes place within 72 hours before scheduled arrival in India. Calculate this from arrival in India, including any overnight flight or connection, rather than departure from home.
Family members arriving together have the same submission window. If someone arrives on a different flight, check their arrival time separately.
You can provide details to this service earlier. We review the information after payment and complete government submission within the permitted window. Confirmation is emailed after submission has been completed.
How do I avoid mistakes across several applications?
Complete one traveller’s details at a time, checking against that person’s passport before moving to the next.
Watch for a previous family member’s name or passport number remaining in an automatically filled field. Keep a list of the travellers whose applications you have already submitted so that you do not place duplicate orders.
Before travelling, check the confirmation information for everyone who needs an arrival card. Contact us promptly if a name, passport number or arrival date needs attention.
Does the arrival card cover other travel requirements?
Your family’s passports and any required visas or OCI documentation remain separate. An arrival card does not update a child’s OCI passport records.
Current UK travel advice also lists a separate Air Suvidha health self-declaration, to be completed within 24 hours before arrival. Our e-Arrival Card assistance does not complete that health declaration.
