India e-Arrival Card FAQs
Find answers to common questions about the India e-Arrival Card, including who needs it, when to submit your details and how our independent assistance service works.
Eligibility and requirements
What is the India e-Arrival Card?
The India e-Arrival Card is an online form used to provide arrival information to Indian immigration. It records information about the traveller and their visit.
Who needs to complete the India e-Arrival Card?
The current government guidance requires foreign nationals entering India, including OCI and e-OCI cardholders, to complete and submit the e-Arrival Card.
Do OCI cardholders need an India e-Arrival Card?
Yes. OCI and e-OCI cardholders are included in the government’s e-Arrival Card requirement. Holding an OCI card does not remove this requirement.
Is the e-Arrival Card the same as an Indian e-Visa?
No. The e-Arrival Card provides arrival information. It does not grant a visa or replace the passport, visa or OCI documentation required for your journey.
When to apply
When should I complete my India e-Arrival Card?
Complete the government submission within 72 hours before your scheduled arrival in India. Calculate this using when you arrive in India, rather than when your flight departs.
For example, if you arrive on Thursday at 6 pm Indian time, the 72-hour window begins on Monday at 6 pm Indian time.
Can I provide my details more than 72 hours before arrival?
Yes, through our assistance service. You can provide your details in advance, and we begin reviewing them after payment.
The government submission takes place once your arrival falls within the permitted 72-hour window. Your confirmation is emailed after submission is completed.
What if my flight or arrival date changes?
Email [email protected] promptly with your updated travel details and application reference, if available.
We will check the processing stage and advise on the next steps. Changes after submission may require further action.
Fees and our assistance service
What does your £15 assistance fee cover?
Our fee covers reviewing the information you provide, checking for missing details and common mistakes, assisting with submission and emailing your confirmation once completed.
Read How It Works for the application process.
How long will it take to receive my confirmation?
We begin reviewing your information after payment. Confirmation is emailed once submission is completed.
Timing depends on your arrival window, whether your details are complete and government system availability. Providing details early does not mean the government submission can take place before the permitted window.
Can I apply for my family or children?
Yes. Through our service, complete a separate application for each traveller, including children, using that person’s passport and travel details.
A parent or guardian can complete a child’s application. Our assistance fee is £15 per traveller.
Completing your details and getting help
How do I fill it?
What information should I have ready?
Have your passport, arrival date, accommodation address in India, email address and telephone number ready.
Enter your name exactly as shown on your passport and complete all requested travel information carefully, including recent travel history where requested.
Which address should I enter for my stay in India?
Enter the address where you will stay in India. For a hotel stay, use the hotel’s address. When staying with friends or relatives, use their accommodation address.
Make sure the state and district match that address. Contact us if you need help identifying them.
What should I do if I entered incorrect information?
Contact [email protected] as soon as possible. Explain the mistake and provide your application reference, if available.
We will check whether submission has already taken place and advise you on the available next steps.
What if I have not received my confirmation email?
Check your spam or junk folder and confirm that you entered the correct email address.
If you provided your details before the 72-hour arrival window, submission may still be pending. Email us with your application reference and scheduled arrival date if you need an update.
